IMG_0036_1 2.jpg

Originally from Lancashire in the UK, Laura lived in Hong Kong from 2016-2021. She is now based in Dubai, and is available to teach both online and in person.

Having performed throughout her childhood in musicals, orchestras and solo recitals, she went on to study Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Warwick. It was here that she discovered her passion for all things 'voice', when asked to be the voice coach for a production with Music Theatre Warwick. After this, she was the go-to voice coach for a number of performance societies at University, and had a chance to delve into this exciting new chapter.

During the three years after graduation, Laura explored the avenues available to her in the teaching and performance world, dipping her toes into work in schools, charities, music therapy, and private teaching. She found that she had a thirst for knowledge, and after attending a memorable workshop with Lin Marsh, she was advised to apply for the most prestigious Voice Studies course in the world.

Now a graduate of the MFA Voice Studies course at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Laura coaches both the sung and spoken voice, always with an overall emphasis on achieving the best possible vocal results safely and efficiently. Her experience ranges from work with actors to corporate clients, from children to adults, and from those with little previous training to those at the top of their game. She enjoys the challenge of adapting her work to suit the needs of the individual at that time.

Throughout Laura's years of practice, she has worked with: drama schools such as Arts Educational Schools London, City Academy, Italia Conti, the Oxford School of Drama, Performance Preparation Academy, and RCSSD; theatre companies Whole Hog Theatre, Folio Theatre, Byteback, The Hong Kong Singers, and ABA Productions; and charities Urban Sprawl, Action for ASD and Adult Connect.

After a marvellous five years in Hong Kong, Laura now lives and works in Dubai with her husband Ashley.
